FBC loves children. Providing a safe, happy, Christian learning environment for each of them is the purpose of our ministry. We want to begin the process of introducing preschoolers to concepts related to God and to establish a foundation of faith in God in the lives of our children.

Our children are our most prescious resource. We will minister to them by providing programs like Sunday School, AWANA, pre-school, VBS, etc. We also provide programs to improve the parenting skills of their parents and/or enrich the marriage relationship between the parents.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

PRESCHOOL

Program Goals

That each child come to understand, experience and respect:

1. God, His Love, and His care for all of creation.
2. The Bible, God's Holy Word and our Blueprint for Life.
3. Church and the concept of Worshipping God.
4. Self and others as unique and very special people whom God created and loves.

That each child also:

5. Develop motor skills through play, exercise, and practice.
6. Enjoy creative expression through music, art, dramatic play and other activities.
7. Be introduced to the concepts of letters, numbers, colors and shapes.

 

General Policies

  • Children must be three years old as of September 1 of the beginning school year.
  • Hours of operation are 8:30 am-12 noon each Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Tuition consists of a one time registration fee of $15 plus $55 per month.
  • FBC preschool will follow the Buffalo Independent School District calendar, observing all student holidays and bad weather policies.
  • Curriculum will be based in the Bible and balance Bible teaching with the introduction of foundational concepts to prepare children for the future.

AWANA

"Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15)

The heart of AWANA is the gospel message.

For ages 3 thru 6th grade. We meet on Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 pm. Weekly dues are 25 cents.

AWANA follows the Buffalo ISD calendar and meets from September thru May.

GOAL--to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

 

EMPHASIS

AWANA strongly emphasizes memorizing and understanding Scripture.

 

AWANA PROGRAMS

Cubbies-- Three and four-year-old preschoolers.

Sparks-- Kindergartners, first and second graders.

Pals, Chums, Pioneers and Guards--Pals is for third- and fourth-grade boys; Chums for third- and fourth-grade girls; Pioneers for fifth- and sixth-grade boys; Guards for fifth- and sixth-grade girls.

 

SCHEDULE

Game Time--Fun games you won't find anywhere else.

Handbook Time--Achievements in AWANA entrance booklets, handbooks and memory packets.

Council and Award Time--A unique award system that helps motivate both clubbers and leader to achieve.
